THE GROUND IS LEVEL AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS!!

Reading this this morning filled me with so much happiness as I was reminded that there is no size or amount of sin that my God cannot forgive me for. Hallelujah! In Leviticus 5, the laws concerning sin offerings are described. When someone sinned, they were to offer a goat or a lamb. But if they were unable to afford that, God accepted turtledoves or pigeons. If even this was unaffordable, they were to offer a small amount of fine flour. Here’s the point: It didn’t matter what you could afford to bring, God’s forgiveness was and will always be wide enough, deep enough, and great enough to cover you and me completely! His mighty and overwhelming love cleans us of all our sins. Same goes in James 1:9-10, “Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them.” Sometimes I question whether being humbled by God is a blessing or not…but I consider what could happen if God never brought me back to reality. Scripture teaches us that it was pride that caused the angel Lucifer to rebel against God and lose his place in heaven. If God were to allow pride to go unchecked in our lives, it would eventually destroy us. No one is too bad to be saved, and no one is too good to need salvation. The ground is level at the foot of the cross. No problem is beyond His ability to help, nor is anyone ever so secure as to never need His help. It doesn’t matter if your sins are small, big, secret, nasty, dirty, too habitual, or feel unbeatable, God’s forgiveness is for you today and everyday. Ask for it! Claim it!

“The ground is level at the foot of the cross. Anyone may come there for there is no cost. Rich man or poor man, bonded or free.

The ground was leveled that day at Calvary.”
